At this stage, children become confident bilingual speakers. They learn to use Russian comfortably in most everyday and learning situations: understanding speech and texts on familiar topics, taking part in conversations, talking about events, expressing opinions, and discussing what they have read.
Your child will learn to:Talk about their family, home, city, and country;
- Discuss professions, transport, shopping, visits to the doctor, and vacations;
- Talk about events in the past, present, and future;
- Describe their hobbies and daily routine;
- Retell short stories;
- Use the present, past, and future tenses correctly;
- Compare objects and describe their features;
- Ask and answer questions such as “where to?”, “where?”, “as whom?”, and “with whom?”, using the correct case forms;
- Read short texts, fairy tales, and simple stories in Russian.
